EDUCATOR GUIDE
Created by Science Museum of Minnesota in partnership with MacGillivray Freeman Films, our Educator Guide is appropriate for students in grades K–8 and most useful when used as a companion to the film, but also valuable as a resource on its own. This guide focuses on the natural sciences highlighted by the film, but educators will find that America Wild features many other subjects as well—geography, history, and language arts all have strong tie-ins with the film.
Activities developed for this guide support Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Teachers are strongly encouraged to adapt activities included in this guide to support specific state or national standards and the needs of their students.
